you could pull the fuel pump fuse and turn over the engine so it pumps oil everywhere prior to starting. the pistons are still moving but less load due to no combusion.
it's well know that most (e.g. 70%) engine wear occurs at startup. and if sitting 6 mos, it's only gonna be worse. but if it's only once a year, I don't think it's that big a deal to just start up and let idle (especially with synthetic oil). like kjkjr27 says, let it warm up completely before you drive it.
