Agree on the masterpiece part, but as far as successful warm-overs don't forget the '69. Took the classic looks of the 67-68 and hammered out some aggressive design elements and the rest is history.
I'm impressed how civil the discussion is on the refresh (for now). Everyone should know it's a matter of preference. It's never just black and white, there's always people in between, and I for one actually like the refresh, a lot, in fact I can't decide which looks better, the '14 1LE or the '13 ZL1. The thing I think is shameful were the idiots who went absolutely f'n ballistic with the new design, to the point of hysteria, and started cursing GM, hating on all the designer, and hoping that the whole company would tank just because of the refresh. And sadly they seemed to dominate the boards for a while. pathetic. you don't have to like it, but that's going too far.
