Yep, mine too. It feels like a compound bow, and I would bet it shares the same purpose:

When you get to the bottom of the pedal, the tension seems to let up, seems to not be as springy - this is to ease your clutch leg. Uses less energy to keep it fully depressed, but still has all the springy power of a nice, tight clutch.

It took a bit of getting used to, but now I can drive it as smoothly as the tremec in my dad's challenger.

Also, I've heard the chatter you're referring to, but with better clutch control, that chatter seems to have stopped.

Since this is an older thread, I'd love to hear what you think about the clutch now that you've had it for a few more months.
