You can use front or rear rcas. It all depends if it is the stock amp and if you have moved the fader any. If you've replaced the amp altogether, then you should set the fader on zero and then it wouldn't matter.
If still using the stock amp, I typically use the front set because I fade my music to the front slightly. What happens is the rears get weaker and the fronts get stronger. So if your sub is attached to the rear set, the input signal will be reduced. I like my input signal attached where the signal will be the strongest. Vise versa if you fade to the rear, but not sure who does that anymore.
