It can technically work because a toothpaste does contain abrasives. It technically is a polish. But it also contains a bunch of other crap you don't want.
Now, does it make even a shred of sense to go scouring the medicine cabinet for car care products? Nope.
Cracks me up when I see these. Ive seen toothpaste, peanut butter, apples, and onions as recommended detailing products. Not saying any of them can't work but there are actual car products that work a whole lot better.
