I have had good luck with the clear road film (the name escapes me) that you can buy from places like calcarcover.com and griot's garage. Its cellophane material that is sold in rolls that you can cut into pieces for the front end of your car. If applied correctly it does a great job of protecting from rocks and road debris. I use this material whenever I go on road trips.

I wouldn't mind having a bra as well for the zl, but I think that an owner would run into trouble because of the lower air dam that would need to be clear for air.

I am not at that point where I am dd'ing my zl, but for me any type of permanent film on the paint is out of the question.
