Yeah, I don't think there's any special tricks, the stock heads are pretty good, some folks get them ported along with a cam install and I think you'd be pretty close to that low 500HP number.
I'm not sure if it's possible to deck the heads on these to bump the compression but it's already got a 10.7:1 but I guess if you could bump that to mid 11's it wouldn't hurt. Not sure how far you can go there without changing pistons though.
