Our intake for the G8 with the L76 (similar to L99) picks up 2-3 MPG on the highway. Our HEMI intake picks up an avg. of 1 1/2 MPG. These are the numbers we typically hear from our customers who watch their mileage closely. We expect our Camaro intake to have similar results. All other things being equal, if you truly increase efficiency you should see an increase in MPG. Additionally, many customers have positive comments on the extra sound from our intakes. When they put the pedal down in their hot rod, they want it to sound more like a hot rod!
Our intake will come standard with a black cross-link poly tube and a silver powder coated air box. The oiled filter shown is standard while the dry filter is optional. All configurations use our custom molded MAF sensor housing which has a "velocity stack" entry molded into the part. On one end it accepts the huge 6" mounting flange of the air filter. The other end uses a custom made 4 1/4" hump hose to help absorb motor rock. We use stock mounting points so installation is simple with absolutely no modifications to your vehicle.
The pic shown is our optional stainless steel polished tube. The polished tube has more "bling" and a higher price tag while the plastic tube is more subtle and has small performance advantages. We also have several air box colors and hose colors as well.
