Do yourself a favor and take your time, be careful. Don't just slather it on and hope to be able to wipe off the excess.

That was a major concern of mine when I did this. However, after doing it there was a small amount of dye left over. I diluted some all purpose cleaner and it came right off and left the dye perfect. Went over the leather with some additional cleaner and conditioner and no complaints! Have gotten a lot of compliments on it already from people in my car!
