Has anybody here had this happen? I have a 2011 SS and the Stabilitrak system has started to malfunction. When I drive into a gradual sweeping turn like a highway offramp or twisty back road - at speeds that are normally NO PROBLEM for this car- the Stabilitrak system kicks in when there is no reason for it to do so. The traction warning light on the dash comes on for a few seconds and the car automatically uses its brakes to slow down and try to control the slide/skid when there ISN'T any... I'm talking like 40-45 MPH here... The SERVICE STABILITRAK message has never come up- the system thinks it's acting normally- which might make it hard for dealer to diagnose??
I heard it could be a faulty "steering wheel position sensor"...
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Tony
Hello,

I realize how displeasing it can be when faced with a Stabilitrak concern like this Tony, and though you're seeking thoughts and opinions, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your preferred dealer. Feel free to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or discuss this situation further.
