So I got the call a week ago that my dream car had finally arrived and even though I was so excited I was also very sad, it was bittersweet as I had to trade in my old friend for the cash for clunkes program and it was off to the big raceway in the sky for my 92' Dodge Stealth "Maximus". He was a great looking car, but he was just run into the ground and since the AC kept going out and I live in Florida he hadn't been driven in months. I took tons of pictures documenting the difficult and final journey for Maximus (found a place 3 hours away selling AT MSRP but that is a tough trip with no AC and my window wouldnt go down, luckily I have an amazing fiancee who was applying ice packs to me and spraying me with a water bottle fan the whole time LOL).
It was extremely hard saying goodbye to my old friend even though my mom thinks Im crazy as do some of you Im sure but hey it was my first awesome car and I've had it for like 10 years. I got a little teary eyed as the dealer drove him to the back, I actually back there to see him off. Hope his parts will help out other Stealth owners and he didn't die in vain LOL
Ok on to the good stuff, the car is freaking AMAZING, toughest SOB on the street and everywhere we go in it we're literally turning heads just like we're celebrities. On the trip home had some officers who were at a 7 Eleven talk to me about the car, they asked if I got the SS (I got the 2 LT) and I told them Im totally happy with 300+ horsepower and I didn't need another reasosn for them to pull me over lol. 3 days later I let my mom take it for a spin and we pulled up to a light and a state trooper pulled up next to us and told us to roll down our window. He goes "Wanna trade?" Lol he told us we needed to commit a felony so he could take the car. Everyone wants to stop me and ask about the car or stand there and drool over it. I LOVE IT!
Just a few concerns though is anyone else having a tough time seeing the front sides? Its really hard to take turns and park b/c I can't see the curbs and the blind spots were very intimidating on the drive home but all in all Im getting used to them. Lol I love everything about this car, ambient lighting is incredible, handles and sounds amazing and it just looks amazing (nickel gas really pops on the car) I've had it not even a week and I've already washed it twice Im that obsessed lol. Alright enough rambling enjoy the pics guys and enjoy your rides!
