My best advice to you is to do what's within your means, take care of your family if you have one, and go for the V8 on the Gen 5 if you can swing it. There's too many stories on here about people regretting V6 purchases. If you want power get the V8, if you want the car and fuel economy get the V6.
I'm not bashing the V6, so all you haters can quit before you start.
