What's funny about drag radials (NT05Rs and NT555Rs) is how little tread there is when they're new.
I had a brand new set of NT555Rs on my car and I had to put my car in the shop to replace a tailing arm bushing. The shop manager came over to me and told me I needed new tires because my tread was down to x/xx. I laughed and told him the tires were brand new. Then a mechanic came over and explained to the manager that they were drag radials and they come with very little tread.
