You are correct, I didn't catch my mistake, I went 527 not 572, using a 4.375" bore and 4.375" stroke. Had originally built it as a 497 with a 4.25" bore but dropped a valve and scarred the cylinder wall pretty good. The 4.375" bore is on the ragged edge of bore size these blocks can handle.

Yeah then just get it sonic tested. You will definitely be on the edge though, but in all honesty you probably wont hurt a thing on it.
My next build will be a 4.5 inch bore block, 540 rolls off the tongue very well
I have my badged as a 427 and when I walk off and leave blown corvettes they cant understand why

What kind of heads and cam are you going to run in it?
