There is no need to worry about the catch can falling as long as it is properly installed. Every piece of it has had a thorough stress analysis performed to ensure that it is up to the job. We have never used Loctite on that bolt and have not had any problems with it backing out.

You can trim the hoses if you need to. We try to include a little more than is needed.

The clamps are intended to be used on the engine end of the hoses. Honestly, they are not really necessary but that is what they are for.
