Yes it does matter. Download the newer instructions that Ofer posted. The one that I just sent him will be uploaded later today.

The White wire has the T-tap it goes to pin 43 of the main radio harness A11 for BA systems, and the other end goes to pin 18 of the HVAC/Radio connector A20.

Do you have a BA or non-BA system? If non-BA system then you won't have a wire in pin 43 and GEN5DIY should have supplied you with a new wire. Either way the other end of pin 43 goes to pin 18 of the HVAC/Radio connector A20.
