They aren't going to supercharge it according to this quote... A N/A engine would be cheaper anyway. Less moving parts, less extra stuff. My guess is that they may bump the displacement again and start using more C6R hardware to get this kind of power... If you can spin the engine a bit faster you can make power. If they do it though it will be the most powerful NA engine currently available in a production car!

After that quote is says for the base model... there will be a blown version.

And the cost difference would all depend on the internals used... if they stick with a basic design using fairly common materials, then yes it would be cheaper, but when you start getting into the exotic materials used in the LS7, then the supercharger becomes the cheaper option.
