Dumb ass guess:
Relocate to under passenger seat. Remove long/heavy positive cable, and steel bracket.
Use LiFePO4 chemistry with a BMS to avoid low voltage discharge.
Unlike lead technologies, once you take a Li battery down to under 1.5v per cell, it often will not recover. It becomes trash.
Total weight savings classify under Corner weight, and would be perhaps 20lb total, mostly the cable savings.
