I read in a article Comp Cams man said that they got a 70HP increase with a "cam only" change on the L92 6.2L truck engine. Stock was 400HP, 430 with headers and 500HP (engine dyno) with the largest one. Smaller cam had a 60HP gain the best I remember. VVT technology looks
very promising.
