PS- People's needs and perception of value differ. A high-quality LiON won't interest the majority of folks. In spite of my enthusiasm for the technology and benefits, I'm not here to sell them. So my parting comment is- to each is own

If the LithiumPros will truly serve my needs (mostly track usage, with street usage between tracks and to the dealer for service) -- and do that for 8-10 years -- then I think it's worth it. To me, for my use scenario. As always, your mileage may vary.
The only issue I want to address was just brought up by my Service Manager -- who races his Z06 -- warning me against it. He says these batteries don't like the slow current drain that all modern cars have. Zfat -- what's your response and how is that best managed? I can't recall if these can be left on a trickle charger; I seem to recall that isn't good with LiOn batteries?
I think there's a LOT of misinformation out there, since people don't seem to distinguish between different versions/chemistries of Lithium battery, or understand that some types have battery protection and cell management built into the unit.
