A stage 2 that's well driven with any FSI or TSI engine should edge out a modded V6 Camaro. As for the OP, a stock 2.0 of any year is a joke compared to your car.

The MKIV GLI came with a VR6, either a 12 valve or a 24 valve, or a 1.8T. The MKV GLI came with a 2.0 FSI from 06 to 08 and 2008.5 and newer the 2.0 TSI (minor differences but almost same power unless tuned). MKV Wolfsburg came initially with a 2.5 5 cylinder, but later was only offered with the 2.0T out of the GLI with GLI brakes and suspension, but a base leatherette Jetta interior and premium trim upgrades.
