Oh yeah, OK. I've always used the passive line down converters.
OP, I would suggest using 1 of the 2 fuses powered by the RAP relay, retained accesory power relay. The fuses are located at the driver's side dash area. The power stays on for approx. 10 min. after the ignition switch is shut off or the door is opened. You could use an add a fuse, but the stacked one is a tight fit and it will need bent at an angle. The fuses power the 12V acc. socket near the shifter, the other powers the acc. socket in the console.
