Finding invoice costs on cars really isn't that hard, you don't even really need to use Truecar, just find the invoice cost of the new car you want to buy, and work with the numbers there. My project car I currently have now I bought for $100 over invoice cost (so $100 over the cost of what the dealer paid for the car to have it in their inventory), you just need to know how to work the numbers and speak the terminology, so you don't really need Truecar, especially after that article.
