Hey everyone, I decided to bust out the Griots today and detail the hood of my VW since the hood looked terrible. About 2 years ago before I had any knowledge on these machines I tried to compound by hand but only made the hood look worse. I'm impressed by what the polisher can do but there is still some fine scratches in the paint. My setup was Meguiar's Ultimate Compound along with their 6" microfiber pad and finished with the Ultimate Polish. Perhaps I should purchase some M105 to diminish the small scratches or CCS pads?
