Just thinking here....
The replacement unit (supercharger) may carry a new part number as a service unit, but will the actual supercharger housing/guts themselves be brand new or possibly refurnished and re-certified and warrantied?
I can't imagine Eaton making that many brand new superchargers when all they'd have to do is replace the coupler and shaft and verify the units overall performance & condition.
Just speculation here.
