True to a point axis, using SCT you are tied to a tuner. Datalogging is where your missing out. Here's how I do it. My car runs consistent low 10's at +/- 5000 DA, I race the car competitively at our local NHRA track. Ted does my tuning, on race weekend I'll make 2 test and tune passes on Friday and datalog them, I send the logs to Ted Friday Night and he tweaks the tune and sends me back a revision Saturday morning. I load the new tune and datalog my first qualifying pass, then I look at the datalog myself and although I can't see what values Ted mave have changed I can see without question what affect it has had on the motor for the good or bad. If it's better I'll run it for the weekend, if not I'll load the previous tune and run that although I've yet to need to take that step backward. I send the Saturday/Sunday logs back to Ted Monday and he has a look and sets me up again for the next race. Having said all that my point is that datalogging in real time with SCT is very very adequate. I can analyze any given pass down to a gnat's ass...lol Hope that sheds some light on datalogging with SCT anyway.
