2 week ago I was driving home from class around 10:00PM. I was on the highway going about 55mph ,I went to change lanes and the cars transmission made a awful noise and the rpms shot up to about 5500rpm after it did that the car was slowing down and making a low howl like sound. I realized that I could not make it to the shoulder so I gave it a little gas and it jumped in to gear hard.
The next morning I had made a appointment to Ourisman Chevrolet. I waited 3 days for the appointment when I got there I handed them the keys and a few hours later they told me that it was my speed limiter that I had set to 45mph so they removed it and said it was fine. Less than 30mins later after receiving the car the it started jumping gears more aggressively so I went back and they told me to leave the keys and they will look at it again tomorrow so I did . 2 days later I got the car back and they said everything was fine but when I was leaving the lot the car had slipped a gear so I thought it was in my head so I drove about 2 miles and the car felt a lot worse and was still jumping/slipping gears so I went back and the dealer. Service department was closed but I could make a appointment
I don't know what to do I've had the car for 2 1/2 years and it has only has 14,000 miles on it. Should I go to a different dealer? Has this happened to anybody?

Hi Arthur,
What a bummer to hear you are experiencing this transmission concern! I can understand why this would be frustrating. Feel free to drop me a PM if this is something you would like me to look into for you. Please include your full contact information, VIN, current mileage, and involved dealership.
