What you are hearing is decel pop and it's completely normal (kinda cool too).
When you do the fuse pull the main thing that happens is you introduce deceleration pop and you'll get a little drone at certain RPMs on the highway. For about 20 bucks on Amazon you can wire a remote key fob to open/close the flap fuse when ever you want.
