The way it's "supposed" to work, is you get 2 bottles in a kit... a bottle of paint and a bottle of something they call "seal act". You smear some of the touch up paint over your chips, then take a rag with a little of the "seal act" on it, and gently rub it across the area you touched up. The seal act is to take off the excess paint around the chip, leaving the touch up paint only in the recess of the chip. It "sorta" works, but I've found it to take out the paint where you want it to remain sometimes too. It's good for road rash, but for a single chip like the one above I'd just use the paint by itself and just carefully touch it up.
