Shunt, in laymens terms, means "bypass" or "go around". But in the engineering sense or electronics terminology, a shunt is a protection circuit that senses over current then trips a switch, transistor, or other conductor to bypass the damaged part of the circuit. It acts the opposite of a circuit breaker which opens the circuit rendering it dead or inoperable.

The SHUNT that is "in the trunk" of the IVER is no doubt a protection circuit the engineers are using while the work out the kinks of the car before they get all the electronics and electrical circuits finalized for production.

Perhaps, they have our beloved missing Shunt tied to the SHUNT circuit, which would mean if a circuit shorts out he becomes the conductor

We better find him fast, before that Camaro malfunctions!!!!!!
