People around where I live seem to do pretty well getting out of the way, even if they are stopped at a light they try to pull off to the side when emergency vehichles need through. They slow down at least even if they are too dumb to get over when a cop has sombody pulled over. Ive had to pull off of I-75 before on the shoulder, kinda unnerving having cars whip by you at 70 and 80 mph.
