Quick question...

First, thanks again for posting my first update (NMRJ0X). I don't want to bother you with constant requests for info, so I'm wondering what the most practical interval is to ask for updates from you. You've got so many people looking for the same information!

How often should we check in with you? Or do you post the statuses of all cars submitted each with each update and just drop off the cars that reach 3800?

Let us know, please...I for one do not want to intrude on any more of your time than is absolutely necessary to keep tabs on my car. I really appreciate your effort to keep us "in the know."

Best Regards,
If you are at 2000 which if I remember correctly you are, you will move quickly. Check often!

Just to clarify. Allocations are the number of vehicles that each dealer can order from the manufacturer at a given month. For example dealer A has three allocations/month; therefore, GM will only accept 3 orders a month from the dealer. Meanwhile the dealer can keep taking orders (and placing them in the "queue" at 1100). Thus, if a dealer that only had three allocations takes nine orders the first month it will be three months for GM to take the ninth persons order. From when your order is accepted by GM (3000) it takes eight to twelve weeks to deliver given everything flows smoothly. Therefore, if you order from dealer A as the tenth person (without allocations) and I order from dealer B (with allocations) two months after your order I will probably get my car earlier.
3000 is NOT accepted by GM. 2000 is accepted by GM. 3000 is order accepted by production control. Thats different. You go to 2000 right away of they have allocations. 3000 may take a few weeks. Regardless once you hit 2000 you are only about 6 weeks out. I am right at 10 weeks but I had to wait 4 for an allocation so those weeks in my mind dont count. 6 weeks and I should have my car next week. They are really moving now.
