Yeppers.
I had the 02 black SS and it was a pain in the ass to keep clean. For those swirl marks, I'd use meguires scratch x and my orbital buffer. Apply a small amount to the polishing cloth, buff it on w/ the buffer and let it sit to dry. Take it off w/ the ORBITAL buffer (so you don't leave swirls) and it should be pretty clean. Go over it with a polish and you'll see NO more swirls or scratches. I did this every once in a while with mine and it really helped.
Make sure...that when you are washing your car that if you drop that microfiber, CHUNK IT. Do NOT use it for that wash. Wash it in the washer and afterwards, FEEL it for stuff caught in the towel. I have about 50 or more towels up on a top shelf. Some are brand new...which are what I use for drying. Some are my wash towels. And some are my tire/wheel towels, etc.
