I'm going to get the ATI Damper Puller and Installers 918999 with the additional ATI Damper Tool Installation Studs 918999SC for the LS series engines.
I'm seriously considering the ATI 10% now. I loose confidence in a product when I hear about > 1 incident of this type of failure. Not a small thing since this caused the engine to get really hot before I could pull over (everything was warning me -- and the oil life went from 80% to 0% after the heat-up) so oil change is necessary too. The oil/trans temps never got over normal but the engine must have since the water pump did not work with the belt off...
