Ginger finally made it out to the track with the DSS 9" with 4.57s. I've had the rear in for over a year and it's been about a year and a half since I have been to the track.
First things first I want to put it out there that I was in no way expecting a new best ET or MPH. I just wanted to get out there and see how the new rear and gears felt. So I didn't take anything out of my car, had a full tank, didn't disconnect my sway bar, had my big battery in and it was 100° in the middle of our Texas Summer.
Good news/bad news
The good news is that the 9" and 4.57s felt awesome! Car feels 1,000 lbs lighter. I no longer have to worry about my rear end going boom! I can just concentrate on getting a good launch.
The bad news is since it was a "street night" they was next to no track prep. Started out with the drag radials at 17, then 15, 14, 12 but nothing helped. I still spun half way through first. That and the 2,400 DA made for some crappy times. Best of the night was:
60'----------1.851
330'--------5.213
1/8---------8.007
MPH-----87.70
1000'----10.413
1/4--------12.435
MPH----112.25
Corrected for the 2,400 DA that comes out to
12.084 @ 115.584 MPH
