Appreciate the update and the offer.
I'm sure you have many customers who've had no problem. I know parts fail (I was a tech for 15 years as well as sprint/midget mechanic).
I can say that I created a video that I sent Ryan on Monday of last week showing how the pulley was bad. I also sent a pic of the rubber separated.
I get how your move may have interrupted communication, my problem was no-one got back to us until today. It is very difficult to just 'wait' to get an answer when you've had my experience with this pulley. I’m fully prepared to take on these situations, just needed a litter faster response. I was ready to install everything last Wednesday. When I didn’t hear back by Wednesday afternoon of last week, I had to go and buy a new pulley so I could get going. JDP helped me out. For that I am thankful.
I understand you folks are just north of Round Rock. IF I had heard back from you, I could have been there in about 2.5 hours and picked up a replacement. I live off 35 in DFW so that would have been worth it for me. 0
Bottom-line, I didn’t have many options left. Needless to say I am displeased. I appreciate the offer to make it up to me. Right now, I’m working with JDP to get my BMR and FE4 suspension upgrades. I’ve had to place on hold my cam and heads as this little adventure was an unexpected expense that ate into that part of my funds. While that is not your issue, it does put a damper on what I had planned and the work I had schedule with GPI.
While I was inconvenienced, my larger concern is for those who’ve also installed this pulley. I’m sure you’ll be able to determine what caused this one to fail. I’ve seen these before and it was due to faulty adhesion to the metal (not hot enough to adhere). Looks like the same here on mine.
Thanks!

I talked with the guys at the shop and the only two failures we have on record is from Harold gwatney chevrolet. I will contact them as well to try to get more info from them to see if it compares to this failure.
Do you guys know if this pulley was installed with a pulley installer, longer bolt, or hammered on until the stock bolt grabs?
**** update the guys said this was one of the two pullies installed at Harold gwatney chevrolet so I'm on the right page now!! I will get them a full credit right now so they can refund you. I'll also get both pullies from them so we can study the pullies at the factory.
Like I said I'm sorry for the problems, please let me try to make it up to you if you ever need anything in the future!
All of the manufacturers test the bonding by doing a load force test randomly during production.
The guys at Harold gwatney chevrolet are good people, I'll get them refunded and I know for 1000% they'll forward that refund on to you.
