First, I thought you were CRAZY hoping for an Alpha Cadillac...Second, what 'crap' is the XTS, we haven't even seen it, yet? How isn't it competitive, ect...I guess my biggest confusion is how you know so much about the XTS.
The XTS will be at worst a rebadged LaCrosse and at best still riding on a platform that was specifically designed to provide sedate, basic A-B type transportation. Flagships are supposed to showcase the best a brand can do, but GM is simply guzzying up a car from a lesser brand. The XTS and LaCrosse will directly compete primarily with each other, wasting marketing assets once again.

I did indeed want an Alpha Cadillac, and still do, but I don't trust GM now to not completely screw it up. So far, I've heard conflicting reports whether it will be FWD or RWD. Given how Cadillac is just using what at the time will be an older plebian platform for its flagship, I hate to think how little effort they're going to put into their entry level model. If the XTS is going to be little more than a rebadged next-gen Impala, why wouldn't the ATS just be yet another use of the Delta II platform?
