this way, the car will maintain the OEM look. I have seen a few threads on here where the guys started with the above GM parts and cut off the recessed section and installed them similar to the ebay versions.

I was going to go that route too, but I couldn't find out how they were attaching them. The stock rears have to be cut up quite a bit to work and it doesn't leave anything for the 2 screws in the fender well to connect to... I am assuming they use nothing but double sided tape.
