I remember 4.6's with power adders not being able to hang with a bolt on LS1 in my Formula years ago.

Probably has a lot to do with it. The car finally has guts and they think they are king kong. Of course us GM guys stoke that fire a bit though as well.

Now granted most of the mustangs I ran with back in the day had the initial GM vs. Ford thing, but they usually sent us (My Formula, A friends TA and a Vette) after the faster cars when needed. In Mexico...
