Unfortunately, for some reason (never been explained to me, perhaps a mod on here could one day) I was no longer allowed to soon after I posted the first pictures of my car with them on. The pictures and thread was deleted and my PM's taken away
Strange thing happened that evening, before this all happened I received a PM from "somebody" asking where I got them or if I would sell them a set. Since I had nothing to do with the designing/making/selling in anyway I simply told him where I got them. Next thing you know, thread deleted and no PM's for me !!! Pretty sneaky fishing around like that, almost entrapment lol
There has been a lot of anger towards these emblems, there is a certain company on here that was really pissed that they were made. I checked out the ones this company offers and I didn't see anything that I really liked so I went with these (I still think they are the best and get lots of complements) The big issue is that they are not "authorized" by GM..........like all our mods are, Give me a break. Can you imagine what the original Hot Rodders cars would have been like if they had to get everything authorized by the manufacturer ? The whole car enthusiast culture would have been at a standstill, what happened to creativity, enhancing, improving or making something unique ?
Take a look at 99% of the pictures of our cars on this forum, they all have things done to them that aren't "Authorized"
The funniest part is that during a recent visit to the GM head office in Oshawa (with a friend of the family that was the former President of AC Delco in the car with me for a ride) he happened to ask about them and was amazed they were not factory. He took several pictures and is sending emails to former contacts recommending they look into making ones like them !!! That will be too funny if they do (not going to hold my breath for that though)
Oh well, life is too short to worry about these kind of stupid pissing matches. I still enjoy this forum, lots of good info and people on here. I will continue to support the venders that advertise too, as I have already many times.
