I mention my experience starting in post #33. I post a link to a video of my squealing noise in post #187 (I believe). Does the squeal go away if you unseat your oil dipstick or loosen the breather? You're either building too much vacuum (most likely) or too much pressure in the crankcase.
The RX breather's check valve has two issues:
- It's a one-way check valve, only allowing air into the engine, when 2 way air flow is required under some conditions
- It may not allow the proper amount of make-up air to be drawn into the system to account for the PCV vacuum
Both of these issues put your seals at risk. Take it off, IMO!
Also, it allows unmetered air into the engine, requiring the engine computer to make adjustments it shouldn't have to.
