Thanks, but in reality, I'll be taken care of when I'm properly refunded. So far, I've done all the 'taken care of' in order to get up and running. That is just the facts of it. I had to get my own pulley, tools, etc. since it was not possible to take the car back to GPI in Arkansas. GPI would have gladly replace it for me, but getting the car there would have been more than buying a pulley and tools.
In order to get a replacement pulley, I had to send the pulley to TSP so they could 'validate' the defect. TSP did refund GPI (instead of sending a replacement) quickly, as I found out, on 7/24 -- after I sent the pulley back. Even when I was down and waiting, I still didn't get a replacement pulley or a refund in any reasonable amount of time. I provided pictures and video to prove it was defective and my need to get a pulley ASAP. I was even willing to pay the difference between ATI and TSP price.
Needless to say what I had to do was finally just get the pulley on my own. That took JDP Tyler to help me out. He got it to me quickly and was able to get it up and running. As they say, pay to play...
With all the delays and having to do all the leg work, I was glad to know I was still capable of doing the physical work again after all these years.
What the experience has taught me is I'll need to deal locally just in case this happens again -- which I don't 'expect' but then again, I didn't 'expect' the pulley to go 3 week into owning it with just daily driving. Sometimes 'out of sight' can play a role in delays...
