What I want to know in this thread is how many people have had braking problems after swapping cams?
So I did do a search and didn't come up with any specific info.
My car is only producing 8 inches of booster vacuum. Our V6 Jeep and Bonnies C6 Vette are producing 13.5 and 16 inches.
All was fine before I pulled the engine and rebuilt and reinstalled.
Only differences are basically a bigger cam, lower compression ratio (from the original 10.4:1 to 10.1:1, and haven't yet tuned for the new set-up.
My cam is as follows...........
I get the reading from both the manifold stem in the rear or the blower and at the brake booster ports in front.
I have not heard much talk of big cams causing power braking issues and I have eliminated all other possibilities other than the rotors so rusty they can't stop as fast. (which seems unlikely)
My particular car is another thread so the question here is How many people have had braking problems after swapping cams?
