After I first bought my ZL1 two years ago, I used a Corvette front plate bracket mounted under the splitter as seen in some old threads. After a few weeks, I took it off and it's been sitting in the trunk ever since. Texas requires front plates, but after 13000 miles I've still not had any problems here in Houston.
