Well said and not to mention not letting mechanics get your vehicle all greasy and dirty inside or them quik lube places trying to sell you every fluid flush and a bunch of other crap every time you go there. I had a drain bolt stripped by a shop and then they had to sell me a heli coil kit. And who knows if they actually put the oil you want in there or not. I personally got tired of all the scamming and greasy door handles and steering wheels. It's faster for me to change my own oil in the driveway than go drive somewhere and wait in line anyway....plus it's super easy to do, why pay anyone to do it? Heck, if they dropped foil in there they probably wouldn't even say anything...
