Well this peep doesn't know what his range is... only that OP "was thinking of either supercharging my V6 or selling/trading and getting a V8". All that tells me he apparently has the range to go to a V8. So, when he asks "Would just like some opinions from you guys and any advice would be greatly appreciated!" My advice stands. A S/C ain't cheap (even for a V6) and the gain (in my opinion) would not be worth it on a six year old car with no warranty.

How do we know this? From what I found, an IPF Supercharger System is around $6K. Now I'm no S/C expert by any means, but it seem that taking a 305 HP V6 up to 435HP (according to IPF) would also require beefing up some other parts if one planned on using that newly gained HP to its fullest. Please educate me. What else would OP need to upgrade? Engine internals, brakes, axles, drive shaft, rear end, transmission, suspension, maybe even wheels/tires, etc??? If so, how much more would that be? I don't know... I'm asking sincerely. No way I'd put that much into a nearly six year old car.

It just seems to me that in the Spring of 2015, OP could get a pretty damned good deal on a slightly used (under 10K miles) 2013 (or so) ZL1. Get a solid 3+ year warranty. And have substantially more car than he currently has... for (I don't know) $25K? $16K-$18K if you factor in the savings of S/C-ing the V6.
