A S/C ain't cheap (even for a V6) and the gain (in my opinion) would not be worth it on a six year old car with no warranty.
How do we know this? From what I found, an IPF Supercharger System is around $6K. Now I'm no S/C expert by any means, but it seem that taking a 305 HP V6 up to 435HP (according to IPF) would also require beefing up some other parts if one planned on using that newly gained HP to its fullest. Please educate me. What else would OP need to upgrade? Engine internals, brakes, axles, drive shaft, rear end, transmission, suspension, maybe even wheels/tires, etc??? If so, how much more would that be? I don't know... I'm asking sincerely. No way I'd put that much into a nearly six year old car.
It just seems to me that in the Spring of 2015, OP could get a pretty damned good deal on a slightly used (under 10K miles) 2013 (or so) ZL1. Get a solid 3+ year warranty. And have substantially more car than he currently has... for (I don't know) $25K? $16K-$18K if you factor in the savings of S/C-ing the V6.

Perhaps....
I don't have time to get into a pissing match with you over this topic. lol
Hands down getting a 1SS or a ZL1 is always a better option HP wise over a S/C V6. Although a S/C V6 has the weight advantage on a track over the SS.....
I'm guessing to do it right you'll need to spend close to 10k to S/C and buy some upgraded driveline parts. The equation financially get closer between the SS and V6 if you start comparing V6 S/C to a used SS or ZL1. I was basing my rough calculations on traded in V6 vs. S/C V6 vs. new SS or ZL1.
There are just too many unknown financial considerations in play here. I'm guessing he wants to stay in the 30-35k range but I could be wrong.
Most V6 buyers are around the 25-30k range. If he can swing the 40-45k range or pick up a used V8 (there are some great deals out there) then I'd go that route.
