That's fine, Not saying you shouldn't enjoy it. (Lord knows I enjoyed mine this summer!)

But, you can not reasonably expect to take a car like this, with this level of performance (supercar range) and drive it daily, putting above average daily driver miles on it, and not expect to have "some" repairs. That is the nature of the beast...

44K miles is coming up on driving around the entire earth twice! A roughly 1,000$ repair bill is not so bad all things considered. IMO

And the people comparing the reliability of a ZL1 to Toyota and Honda are just being silly. I would like to see any Toyota or Honda do what the ZL1 can and see how long it lasts doing so. (FYI, I love my Toyota FJ)

If Honda is so amazing and reliable, how come my 2013 CRV ate a motor at 18,000 miles? I can assure you it did nothing but daily drive to and from work for the best MPG and the oil was changed every 3K with Full Synthetic at the dealer. That car was babied (and parked in a heated garage) and purchased to "last" and now I am looking to get rid of it because I don't trust it and it rides like a roller skate with no balls. So much for the famed Honda 4cyl reliability???

Never had that happen on any GM (over 12 so far and one saved my life)...

Vehicles are designed, built, priced and sold for a purpose. Yes they can do "other things" but that may have trade-offs and one of which may be reliability in the long run.

I bought my ZL1 for one reason only. To enjoy it and race it all the time! However, It is not going to be daily driven because that doesn't make any sense to me. Why use up such an amazing car for something so mundane? Tools have a purpose and they last the longest when being used for the purpose.
