I live in Maryland and right no wit is my daily driver. I have michelin as3 all seasons in the garage waiting to be installed. I also have a supercharger on the way. I plan on driving it as long as there is no ice out. I will avoid the slop but hell, I might have to take it out if its dry and a little salty that is what the under spray car wash is for, right?
In your case, I think what you said makes perfect sense. But i would suggest looking into the as3s when it is time to get some new tires.
