As great as the Z28 is, it's apparent Road and Track has a certain....disdain for the Camaro Z28. In it's current Performance Car of the Year competition, they noted only two sentences, that I could find, about the Z and one of them was a slam! Looks like they all agreed the 2015 Mustang GT was the darling of the "pony cars" for this test which came in 3rd place behind the Ferrari 458 and the winning Porsche GT3.

I guess it's not notable that the Z28 was only one tenth of a second slower on the Motown Mile than the 650 HP Viper and 10th on the fast list behind a string of foreign exotics (Viper excluded).
